Growler Care Instructions from First Street Brewing Company
We love our growlers at First Street. We love that they allow people to share beer with their friends. The flavors and tastes held in growlers allow the freshest beer possible. However, we’re not a fan of dirty, smelly growlers that could jeopardize the taste of the beer. Here are a few tips to make sure your growler is always fresh, clean and ready to be refilled.
- Keep the growler cold to maintain freshness. That is unless you have one of our Klean Kanteen growlers that keeps beer cold for up to 48 hours.
- Keep your lid on tight! Oxygen is the enemy of beer.
- Always bring a clean growler to be refilled.
- Rinse used growlers out immediately with HOT water after you’ve enjoyed the last drop of beer.
- No need to use soap, as that residue could remain. We’ll be sure to sanitize the growler for you before refilling it.
